Day 1: Arrival/Reykjavík
Arrival in Keflavik, meet and greet followed by transfer to Reykjavík.
If you arrive early, we recommend stopping at the Blue Lagoon on your way to Reykjavík (not included) and/or getting a Reykjavík Tourist Card, which grants you access to all the museums owned by the city of Reykjavík, all the swimming pools in Reykjavík and all buses that run within the greater Reykjavík area. Stay overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 2: Reykjavik - Keilir golf Course
The Keilir golf course, only ten minutes drive from Reykjavik, is right on the ocean and is one of Iceland´s most spectacular and unique golf courses. What makes this course unique is that it is built into a lava field as well as on an old ocean links area. The course offers an 18-hole championship course (par 71) and a 9-hole “practice” course. A beautiful new clubhouse was built in 1993 overlooking the courses with a view over the Atlantic Ocean, all the way across the bay to the Snaefellsjökull Glacier on a clear day. Stay overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 3: The Golden Circle
A full day’s drive, taking in some of the best-known natural phenomena in Iceland including Þingvellir National Park, the Gullfoss waterfall, the great Geysir area and the Kerið implosion crater. Stay overnight in Hella
Day 4: The South Coast of Iceland and Golf at Hella
Start the day at the 18-hole golf course at Hella, before exploring the scenic south coast on your way to Kirkjubæjarklaustur, where you will stay overnight. Stops include the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, the folk museum at Skógar, the Saga Centre in Hvolsvöllur and the Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar rock formations.
Day 5: The South Coast
Drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur to Skaftafell National Park, one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. After visiting Skaftafell, stop at the extremely picturesque Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon on your way to the village of Höfn on the southeast corner, where you will stay overnight.
Day 6: Golf at Höfn and Eastern Iceland
Start the day by playing golf at the Höfn Golf course before driving to the town of Egilsstaðir in the scenic eastern fjords, where you will stay overnight. Attractions such as the imposing Mt. Búlandstindur and the monster habitat Lagarfljót River can be visited on the way.
Day 7: Seyðisfjörður Golf Course and Lake Mývatn
Start the day by driving to the village of Seyðisfjörður to play golf at the Seyðisfjörður golf course. Drive to Lake Mývatn in the afternoon, visiting attractions such as the active volcano Mt. Krafla on the way. Stay overnight around Lake Mývatn
Day 8: Lake Mývatn and Jökulsárgljúfur National Park
Explore Lake Mývatn and its surroundings, including the Námaskarð pass; the pseudo-craters at Skútustaðir; Ásbyrgi canyon and Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Stay overnight around Lake Mývatn.
Day 9: Akureyri – the World’s most northerly 18-hole golf course
Drive to Akureyri, the “Capital of Northern Iceland”, and spend the day playing at the Akureyri Golf course. This course is considered the most northerly 18-hole golf course in the world, situated at 65 49' north of the Equator. The “Arctic Open”, an increasingly popular international tournament, is held at the Akureyri golf course every year near the end of June. Stay overnight in Akureyri
Day 10: Akureyri to Reykjavik
Drive from Akureyri back to Reykjavík. Sights along the way include Deildartunguhver, the largest hot spring in Europe; the beautiful Hraunfossar lava waterfalls and the historic site of Reykholt. End the day by playing golf in the evening at Nesvöllur in the city of Reykjavik, where you will stay overnight.
Day 11: Departure
Private Transfer to Keflavik airport. If your flight is in the afternoon, you can stop at the Blue Lagoon and even take a little tour of the Reykjanes peninsula (not included).
